| “During this season of blessings, I am reminded of how blessed I am to have you in my life. Your loyalty to your family and your profession is unmatched and you serve both with honor. Heroes do not wear capes – they wear badges. You are a hero everyday as an officer, a father and a husband. You are my gift from God. I love you. Always yours.” — Claire Dauzat, honoring John Dauzat, Louisiana State Police |

Dear Supporter,
To honor our law enforcement heroes this holiday season — both Living Legends and Fallen Heroes — the Memorial Fund is conducting its fourth annual Holiday Heroes tribute campaign. You can participate by:
Once you have submitted your Holiday Hero tribute, we will add your Holiday Hero and thoughtful words to the tribute list on our website and to a scrolling tribute board in the window of the Memorial Visitors Center & Store in Washington, DC where visitors and passersby can see your message. Whether you donate $20.00 or more — our Holiday Heroes campaign is a wonderful way for you to remember and honor the law enforcement heroes in your life. The display is a moving tribute to all of America’s law enforcement officers — especially when people take a moment to read the special notes written to our heroes. Throughout the year, but especially during the holiday season, law enforcement officers are required to forego time with their own families, so the rest of us can safely spend time with ours. And tragically, some officers are injured or killed during this season of peace. Thank you for all you do to honor America’s law enforcement officers. Sincerely,
